GPAT (GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST) is a national level entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) but now conducted by national testing agency (NTA) for bachelor in pharmacy (B.PHARMACY)

students who want to take admission to a master in pharmacy ( M.PHARMACY ) every year as per the directions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

In this exam, all questions are multiple-choice questions. Those students who want to take admission to a master’s in pharmacy in the academic year 2020-21 can also apply for this exam before bachelor in pharmacy final year exam result announcement. The candidate must be a citizen of India and there is no age limit for applying the exam.

this exam conducted on the base of the computer. Basic knowledge of pharmacy makes it easier to crack this exam. Students should start preparation first with main and hard subjects like pharmacology, pharmaceutics, and pharmacognosy.

Those students who want to crack this exam should go through basic knowledge of pharmacy and pharmacy official syllabus. Also check previous year question papers for reference, exam pattern and marking system. Students should make notes on a particular subject on each important topic and revise them daily for better understanding.

Students can focus on the basic concept of each subject involved in the exam. And prepare own questions on each topic for easy to understand during the exam. And make a plan for study and solve previous year question papers.

                               GPAT  ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy (fourth years after 10+2) from affiliated colleges or recognized universities.
  • It is not a compulsory exam for all B. pharmacy students. Students who interested to take admission to M. Pharmacy can apply.

How many attempts for GPAT examination?

  • Students can apply more than once for an exam but it is better to clear in the first or second attempt for a good job.
  • Third-year B. pharmacy students can also apply for the exam.
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • There is no age limit for the exam.

According to GPAT 2014 score will valid for 2 years but now according to GPAT 2019 score valid for 3 years.

                         INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Students have to apply for GPAT-2020 by filling the application form by online mode on official website https://gpat.nta.nic.in/WebInfo/Public/Home.aspx

Application form other online modes would not be accepted.

One student can apply only one application form, more than one form will be rejected.

It is suggested that you have the following ready before starting the filling of the application form:

  • A computer with good Internet connectivity
  • All your qualification details
  • Scanned clear passport photograph in JPG/JPEG format (size between 10 kb–200 kb)
  • Scanned clear signature in JPG/JPEG format (size between 4 kb–30 kb)
  •  valid e-mail Id as all communication will be made on this e-mail Id
  • A valid mobile number as all information via SMS will be sent to this number
  •  valid debit/credit card or Net banking account for online payment
  • A printer connected to your system to print the confirmation page

students first download information bulletin from the official website of gpat.nta.nic.in for checking all eligibility criteria and a requirement for the exam.

Once you submit the application there is no correction option for any mistake so before the final submission of the application check all the filled information carefully.

Follow following 5 (Five) Steps to Apply Online:

  1.  Step-1: Fill in the online Application Form and Note down the system generated Application Number
  2. Step-2: Upload scanned images of Candidate’s Passport size Photograph (between 10 kb– 200 kb) and Candidate’s Signature (between 4kb – 30 kb) in JPG/JPEG format.
  3. Step-3: Make a payment of fee using Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, UPI, Paytm and keep proof of fee paid.
  4. Step-4: Print at least four printouts of Confirmation Page after successful remittance of fee
  5. Step-5: Choose the city for giving the examination GPAT-2020

Final submission of form remains incomplete if there is any step skip or any option not filled.

No request for a refund of fees once the transaction completed.

The application process of GPAT-2020 online, including uploading a photo, signature, and payment of fees so students are not required to send or submit any documents or payment through email or fax or hand.

Students regularly check the official website of NTA for the latest update

All students who have submitted the application form and paid fee till the last date will be allowed to appear in GPAT-2020 and the admit card of all students will be uploaded on the official website as per schedule.

NTA verify all qualification certificate you have to upload.

NTA not responsible for rejection if students not filled information carefully.

Students required to check the status of application form after payment, if status ok then the student able to take a printout of the confirmation page.

Students should take a printout of confirmation pages.

In case of status not ok then students again check the transaction of fee. If payment is done via credit or debit card then if the amount debited from your account then the amount will be refunded to your account within 15 working days. So students can pay fees once again and check status ok.

TEST PATTERN

All questions in the English language.

This exam is an online computer-based test.

MODE: ONLINE COMPUTER BASED TEST

DURATION : 3 HOURS

QUESTIONS: 125 objective type questions.

Each question carried 04 marks.

For each correct response, students will get 04 marks.

For each incorrect response 01 marks deducted from the total score.

Un-attempted or unsolved questions will be given no marks.

At the test center, each student seated on a separate desk with a computer and rough papers and pen also provided during the test in test center. The student must leave the rough paper at the desk.

Rough work cannot be done on other than rough paper.

Instruction for students –

Students should not carry any material in examination room like paper, pen, mobile, earphone, microphone, purse, handbook, pencil box, camera, calculator all this type of material not allowed in the examination room.

DISPLAY OF PROVISIONAL ANSWER KEYS FOR CHALLENGE AND QUESTION PAPER ATTEMPTED

After the exam, NTA will display answer keys and questions papers effort students on the official NTA’S website. NTA will be upload details of the date on the official website. Students who not satisfied with the provided answer key by NTA may fill challenges by filling the application form to NTA by paying online processing charges of 1000/- per question. Once the fees paid is non-refundable.

NTA does not collect information regarding how much seats available in the institution and reservation criteria by the institution. NTA’s are an examination conducting body and provide GPAT score.

GUIDELINES TO CANDIDATES FOR COMPUTER BASED EXAM

You should visit the Examination Centre, a day before the examination and familiarize yourself with the location and means of reaching the venue of the Test on time.

Please reach the venue of the Test at the Reporting Time mentioned in the Admit Card. If you report beyond the Gate Closing time of the Centre, you will not be allowed to enter the Test venue.

Instructions have been issued for strict compliance. Several pre-examination formalities need to be completed and therefore please reach on time
