What are schedule H1 drugs?
schedule h1 drugs are the drugs that come under a rule. The rule says a pharmacist or druggist cannot sale such drugs without prescription of register medical practitioner (DOCTOR).
why we cannot sale such drugs?
to answer this question first we need to know what exactly happens with the patients.
in earlier days we used to sale antibiotics on the counter as casually nearly 2 to 3 tablets of antibiotics with pain killers, antipyretics, allergic drugs.
for the effect of antibiotics, they need a certain period of time with proper dose to take action on microorganisms for kill or inhibit them.
but due to lack of consumption of antibiotics, microorganisms increases their resistance to a particular so that’s why even on the intake of antibiotics later it does not work at all.

2.Registered medical practitioner name and registration number
3.Registered medical practitioner stamp and signature
4.In the case NRx drugs Registered medical practitioner degree with recognised university or affiliated colleges he must be completed master degree (MD) because only MD can write NRx prescriptions with respect to patients history.
5.Pharmacist should have patients full history record with his address and doctors address.

SCHEDULE H DRUGS
These are class of prescription drugs which cannot be sale over the counter without prescription of registered medical practitioners. manufacturing and sale of such a drugs are covered under drug and cosmetic act, 1945.
Drugs specified in schedule H and comes within narcotic drugs and psychotropic substance act 1985 labelled with the symbol Rx. and “Schedule H drug. Warning : To be sold by retail on the prescription of a Registered Medical practitioner only”
If a Schedule H drug also comes under the purview of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, it must carry the texts “NRx” and “Schedule H drug. Warning: To be sold by retail on the prescription of a Registered Medical Practitioner only.”
The time and date of prescription must be noted during sale which is most useful data for the suppliers. and only the amount specified in the prescription should be sold. pharmacist should not sold these drugs over the counter.
